Its main functions include digital signal processing, radio resource management, support for advanced 5G technologies, protocol processing and network control, and connection to other parts of the network such as RRU/AAU radio units and the 5G core.
The baseband platform supports flexible configuration scaling, including the number of cells, the number of connected UEs and the maximum DL/UL rate per BBU.
